Alain Thienot

First a banker, then a Champagne broker, Alain Thiénot wanted to return to his first and real love: the soil. He fondly remembers the professionaldedication of his father, manager of the Irroy Champagne House, and his grandfather, a bottle manufacturer. Theroots of winemaking are deep and tenacious... In 1976, Alain Thiénot acquired several hectares of vines in the Ay and Mesnil-sur-Oger wine areas. In 1985, he founded his own “Champagne House”, which he then moved to with his family and set out to restore the estate’s cellars. At that time, he started crafting and overseeing the ageing of his own Champagnes. In only a few years’ time, Alain Thiénot managed to make his House a jewel of the Champagne region, with his motto being:a
